Animal training consultant

Successfully building trust and a line of communication with animals can have a huge impact in every aspect of their care, from basic handling and cooperation in medical procedures, to stress free travel and learning tricks.

Over the last 30 years I have developed a keen interest in learning theory and the power of positive reinforcement. Working with over 60 species in zoos, livery yards, back gardens and on film sets has given me a uniquely broad range of experiences.

Having started out working with competition horses in the UK, New Zealand, USA and Hong Kong, I am now an exotic animal trainer at Heythrop Zoological Gargens and a consultant behaviour specialist for zoos and pet owners around the world
